It is advised that all players read and become aware of the expectations of users when participating on forum discussion before proceeding any further after your profile has been created. Following these guidelines will help ensure a safe and welcoming environment. By joining the McOrigins server and using the McOrigins forums, you agree to follow the respective rules.
Bypassing any punishment via another account will result in a more severe IP-wide punishment compared to the original offence.
It should also be noted that staff reserve the right to punish players for any valid reason they see fit. If you are punished for a reason that is not outlined below, it may be unique but still remain valid.
Examples of disallowed behaviors include but are not limited to:
Common Sense Rules
Show common decency to all users present. Disrespect, spam, and advertising will not be tolerated.
Inappropriate Content
Content consisting of abuse, discrimination, NSFW content, and illicit substances.
Microposts
Posts or replies to threads that offer little to no value or lack information unrelated to the topic. Avoid posting multiple consecutive replies and instead collate them into one reply.
Threatening Language
Threatening to or actively doxing, DDOSing, harassing or blackmailing others, sharing personal information, or sending malicious links. This is strictly prohibited and will likely result in permanent exclusion from the forum.
Backseat Moderating
Report a user rather than attempting to moderate them yourself.
Drama
Spreading misleading information, inciting drama and provoking other users. Always remain respectful even if another user has differing views to yourself.
Forum users that are found breaking these rules can expect to be sanctioned with warnings. Further escalation of warnings can lead to exclusion from the forums and a permanent ban from the website. Staff members reserve the right to sanction users for any suitable reason they see fit. This guideline provides examples of behaviors deemed unacceptable on the forums. If you feel you have been wrongfully punished, make an appeal here.
